Advantages: bright, soft toys, removable arch, washable cover

Disadvantages: Cost, lack of features

I recently purchased the nteractive Capria Bouncing Cradle from mamas and papas for a girl friends first baby. There are so many boucners on the market and it's really hard to me the choice but I wanted something that was interactive too. I don't usually shop at M&P due to their high prices but this currently has £21 off so it's retailing at £39.00 rather than £60. I was attracted by the really bright colours which are suitable for a boy or girl.

The boucner is suitable from birth to approximately six months depending on the weight of your baby.

Key Features:

- The removable hanging soft toys activate the light shows and musical sound bursts when pulled. These are really bright colours and are really well made in soft fabric.
- Soothe baby with its bouncing, bobbing, or gentle vibrations. This si a standard feature of most boucners now.
- Easy to adjust movement and volume settings with a simple on/off control.
- Three selectable musical tunes.
- Secure and padded safety harness whihc is easy to undo. It has a fabric panel which slides over the clasp to protect fingers of older babies.
- Soft padded head hugger provides added support for newborns.
- Soft velour covers can be removed for hand washing or my frind has been washin it at 30 on a delicates cycle in a pillow case due to baby mishaps :)

Suitable From: birth to 6 months approx. (Max weight 9kg approx.)
Requires 3 x C and 2 x AA batteries (not included).
Dimensions: H: 51 x W: 52cm x D: 80cm approx.
Weight: 3.4kg

I don't believe this chair is worth the full retail price and suspect that you are paying for the M&P name. It's one of the more basic electronic chairs available. I would recommend if for build quality, cofort and safety but other chairs have more features.

Summary: A good buy for a younger baby but noy much excitement for a grasping baby
