Play pens in my oppinion are a god send for any mom who cant spend all day sitting on there bottoms doing nothing. Before i had my daughter i used to frown upon people who caged there children up in a play pen but by the time she was 8 months old, scrawling around my house and pulling herself up on the furniture i decided they were right after all, i needed a play pen. I brought a 6 sided metal play pen from the argos which i believe cost me around £100 but this was the biggest play pen i could find. It had a red padded mat in the bottom and a safety gate on one side to loose baby in and out. This play pen was a god send to me, it ... Read the complete review

I never used a playpen for my first 2 children but with my 3rd i had 2 other children to deal with and was unable to give my daughter 100% attention 100% of the time! When my daughter turned 9 months she started crawling and all of a sudden was into everything! Now my house is as babyproofed as you can possibly make it but it is physically impossible to make it 100% safe. I would never even consider leaving her unattended even for a second and so i came to the conclusion i needed a playpen! After looking at the very small selection of playpens available i couldnt believe how tiny they all were! We purchased a Lindam one which can also be used as a ... Read the complete review

Playpens in my opinion are an essential iitem to buy when you have a small child. They are designed for the safety of children and work very well in my opinion. They are quite expensive to buy however it is well worth the money to know that your child is safe when you have jobs to do around the house. I bought a lindam playpen for my child and it is very useful. The playpen is very sterdy and definately safe for my child. It comes is either black or white which are colours that go with most things. The playpen can be used from when the child is born however i feel the most important time that it is needed is when the baby becomes more ... Read the complete review

Everyone has different opinions on playpens but mine was a true godsend! I really don't think I would of coped without out. Although I don't like the whole idea of babies being in a 'cage' or not being able to do anything it helped me out hell of alot. You can buy playpens in most stores now, including Mothercare, Argos even on Ebay, I bought mine from Argos when my twins were 4months old. It cost me £80, its a Lindam one. It came with a few extra screws etc as it also converted into either a safety gate or a fire guard. But I only wanted it to be used as the playpen so threw the extra fiddly bits out. It also came with a mat which attached to the bottom. I ... Read the complete review

I had a play pen given to me when my son was tiny. At the time he wasn't even crawling but I was dead sure I would use it. I thought it would be a really useful thing to have and would have probably gone out and bought one at a later date. The one that we were given was very old and it even says it was made in the 1970's. It's all wooden and folds flat for easy storage. As my son started crawling and moving around I was waiting for an opportunity o get it set up but it just didnt happen. My son is nearlytwo now and the play pen is still sat folded up next to the play pen. I never intended not to use it but to be honest the opportunity neve arose. Just like I ...
