This 3 in 1 toy is great is you are pushed for space or cash. It is an activity gym which can be changed for multiple uses as the child gets bigger. It is made of a sturdy plastic.
It starts off as a play gym for children 0-6 months. It is brightly coloured and the baby lies underneath it and reaches and tries to grab the objects hanging off the bar. The frame is yellow and it has a large roller bar in the centre at the top which spins round and displays different images. It has beads inside it to make a rattly sound. The frame also has a lion dangling off it which when pressed plays music. The lion is in the centre and on either side are 2 hanging toys which the baby can try to grab, one of these is a bell shape and the other is a ball which rotates when touched.
As the baby gets older and is able to sit up they are able to use the play gym as an activity centre. The only difference is that they are able to view the images on the roller bar.
As soon as the child is able to stand the walker can be changed into a push walker. This helps to give them a steady support when walking as they can push it along at their preferred speed.
The walker is easy assembled, there were only 6 pieces to fit together and it is easily converted into the walker. The walker turns upside down and 2 extra wheels are added to front ( they just click into place). The roller bar separates to provide a handle bar. It sounds complicated but it isn't!
The walker takes 2 AA batteries for the musical lion and I think I only ever changed the batteries twice in the 2 years I have had it.
This walker is a really good idea, it doesn't take up much space considering it is 3 toys and it is simple to adapt to each stage. The play gym is stimulating to babies because of the noise and colours, it also helps to develop their hand eye co-ordination.
I found that the first and third stages were perfecr for my childs development but the second stage he did find a little boring. The activities aren't any different, the only thing that changed is that he was viewing it at a different angle. Maybe a few toys on the side of the top bar would be better so it is something new for them to play with.
Another problem I had was that the space between the legs of the play gym isn't very wide and once my son had started rolling he kept getting himself stuck on the wheels. A little bit wider would have been better.
All in all I found this product very useful, it got a lot of use out of it.
The ultimate activity toy, which has won numerous awards. Converts from a play gym to an activity center and then to a push walker, providing support for those first steps.
