Advantages: Keeps baby happy and content, burns off babies excess energy before bed, doubles up as a walker

Disadvantages: slightly difficult to lift a large baby up onto the door frame for one person

I Baught this for my son when he was about 8 months old and he absoloutely loved it! I think i paid roughly about £20 for it at the time, however it was money well spent.

It was fairly easy to set up, i simply attatched the door clamp above the door frame. Put my little one into the blue body harness- which i altered for his hight and waist, attatched that to the T bar and clipped him on!

At first i was a bit dubious and concerned that he may bash his face or somehow hurt himself on the door frame, infact i even worried that the bouncer may comeaway from the door frame but neither happened. He was perfectly safe and perfectly happy.

To begin with he didn't know how to bounce, so he would just sway about looking very impressed with himself and i must admit it was very odd to see my son stood up! After a few times in the bouncer his confidence grew and he began to bounce, it was brilliant to watch him so happy and active and he was really content to coo away as he burnt off some energy. I found putting him in the bouncer for 15 minutes before nap time really worked a treat, no more tired baby fighting the tiredness- he would just peacefully nod off and seemed to sleep a lot better for it too. As he got heavier i did have to adjust the harness a few times for his safety, but this was fairly easy to do and took no time at all.

The bouncer allso doubled up as a walking aid, you can clip the T bar from the door clamp whiles baby is still attatched and walk them around like a 'puppet' our son loved this and i found it helped him learn to move his legs ready for walking. It can be a bit difficult to lift a heavy baby up to clip onto the door clamp on your own, but i allways managed it so i should imagine everyone else can.

The only negative i found with the bouncer is that i just couldnt relax for a while when he was in it, you hear lots of horror stories of babies harming themselves when in door bouncers- we always supervised our son closely on his and as a result had no accidents, so rest assured providing you watch your child closely they should come to no harm.

Summary: A must have item for any baby, will keep them content and help with muscle development
