Advantages: great way to learn to walk and have fun at the same time
Disadvantages: none
I bought this for my young son who is at the stage where he has the strength and ability to stand but hasn't yet developed the nerve to stand away from furniture.
When looking for a walker i searched everywhere for something that was going to be safe sturdy but most of all fun..
Vtech has been around for years with all of there products which aim to teach youngsters of all ages in a very simple yet fun way.
When you first open your walker you find you have to assemble it yourself which on the first though you think "oh no" but it couldn't have been easier, It was just a case of fitting the wheels on and attaching the handle then the activity tray onto the walker base.
It comes with Textured wheels, easy grip handle and is a durable design making sure your baby gets ample support for taking those first steps.
It assembles very easily and can be stored away in small spaces
This particular walker is fantastic it is so sturdy that even the most adventurous child wouldn't be able to topple easily. The overall design of the walker is a similar shape to a stroller pushchair allowing stability all around.
The age range of this is from 6-30 months and for the price you pay for it i would say it is excellent value for your money.
I bought mine from amazon for just over £22 and my little boy loves it..
On the activity pad you come across a colourful puppy that plays games with you when he is pressed, a piano keyboard that plays some really happy tunes, shape buttons that teach numbers , colours and shape , three turning wheels that make wacky noises when rotated, a phone which rattles and thats not all put all these together and you have one fantastic activity centre that covers hours of fun
There are several features which you will discover over the two different modes one of which is music mode and the other being learning mode.
The modes can be changed by flipping the butterfly wing on the activity pad.
There are some great activities to entertain your child when in music mode :
When pressing either of the four shaped buttons you will hear some great phrases and some chirpy music to get your little one bopping,
Press the puppy and you can play puppy says which is like simon says.( "puppy says nod your head" )
press any of the keys on the piano to play along with the tune being played or simply play your own
shake the phone to hear it rattle
Or just press and turn the wheels to hear some really silly noises..
There are some great activities to teach your child when in learning mode
Once again by pressing any of the four shaped buttons you will learn shapes , colours or numbers
Yet again you can play puppy says when pressing the puppy
when you press the keys of the piano now you get to learn letter sounds like "A is for apple"
And words and great sound effects.
All in all this walker is of a Sturdy design to support and aid your baby’s first steps. Its Detachable learning centre packed with activities
Shapes and light-up musical keys is an ideal addition to your little ones collection which opens up a fantastic world of fun and learning
with its introduction to letters, words, numbers, animals, colours, sung songs and tunes. The moving butterfly, discs and rollers
develop skills plus a rattling role-play phone. What more could you really want??
Summary: great teaching aid that allows hours of fun as well
