Advantages: sturdy, educational, fun

Disadvantages: - - -

We bought this for the twins last christmas because although they were nearly 16months old neither of them were walking so we thought this may help them a bit.

--- What it does ---

Obviously this is a baby walker so it helps support your baby when it is starting to walk but the walker also has a removable panel on the front for your child to play with that has different activities and has lights and plays music.

The removable panel has 2 different volume levels.

When you turn the panel on the puppy barks and a female voice says: 'hello baby' then sings 'hello puppy calling do you want to play with me, lets have fun together while you learn your ABC'

- PUPPY. When you press the puppy it says 'lets play puppy says, puppy says lets wiggle/clap your hands/stomp your feet' This is basically a simon says game.

- BUTTERFLY. The butterfly's function is to switch modes from alphabet/numbers to music. To do this you turn the butterfly's wing. As the wing is turned it either plays a tune or says peek a boo.

- COGS. There is 3 cogs at the top which you can turn round they are green, blue and purple. As you turn the cogs either music is played, differnet noises, or it says ' twisting and turning around and around', 'wee that was fun', 'round and round we go' or 'spinning'

- KEYS. There are five coloured keys lettered a to e which light up when pressed.

a = red, b = green, c = yellow, d = blue, e = purple.

Each key has a different picture on it which starts with the relivent letter (apple, ball, car, dog, elephant).

When switched onto the alphabet/numerical mode each key says the letter it is when pressed and when pressed again says what it stands for: a, a is for apple, b, b is for ball etc.

When switched to the music mode the keys turn into a piano.

- SHAPES. There are for shapes each a different colour and with a different number on.

Heart - 1 -red
Circle - 2 - yellow
Square -3 - blue
Triangle - 4 - green

When in the alphabet/numerical mode each shape says what number it is and what colour and shape it is eg 1 - red heart.

When in the music mode each shape says something when pressed then plays a tune.

Heart - jazz it up
Circle - rock n roll
Square - dance to the highland beat
Triangle - yee-ha

- PHONE. There is a green plastic phone which when removed is a rattle. When you pick the phone up it says 'lets wiggle' then when you put it back it says 'well done'.

When your child is not pressing any of the buttons it will play things randomly a few times and then says bye bye.

--- What I think ---

The frame of the walker is very strong and sturdy and helps your child keep their balance well and is easy to push around. The detachable panel makes it really good value as you can use this before your child would use the walker and once your child can walk unaided.

I would definately recommend this walker as it is bright colours and looks nice as well as been sturdy and the panel is fun and educational and keeps childrens attention for quite a while. Even though the twins don't use the walker part anymore they still love to play with the removable panel. The walker and the panel is still in perfect condition so when the twins have outgrown it I will be able to pass it onto the new baby and will have more than got my moneys worth from it.

--- Other info ---

The walker is suitable from 6 to 30 months and requires 3 AA batteries for the panel to work.

We bought this walker from Argos where it costs £21.97 though it is available from other shops.

--- --- ---

Thanks for reading
