Advantages: great toy

Disadvantages: poor as a walking aid

We brought this walker 5 years ago for my first daughter and payed £39.99 for it at the time from toys r us, i thought by looking at the walker that it was a lovely design and the best one i had seen in the shops at the time, it was the only one that had a detachable play tray on the front of it that looked like it was going to entertain my daughter for some time.

The play tray itself can be used clipped to the front of the walker or can be taken off seperately as a toy, when taken off it has a handle at the top for your child to carry it around with them obviously after they have learnt to walk. On the tray itself there are cogs you can turn that make a clicking noise, they also play musical songs as they are turned, buttons you can press that teach basic numbers and shapes aswell as a piano at the bottom that lights up and plays notes aswell as nursery rhymes, the phone is detachable which is a right pain as my daughter kept losing the phone this would have been a lot better had it been attached to the tray with string but other than this it was a great toy or should i say still is a great toy although they dont play with it much anymore as they have grown out of it at 4 and 5 years old now but they had a good few years of fun out of the toy.

The walker itself is a perfect height as i found a lot of walkers were a lot taler than this and with my daughters both being quite short they struggled to see over the top of other walkers but the wheels are made out of a shiny plastic so there is little resistance there meaning that the walker moves along too quickly for a child who is just learning to walk to keep up with it and my daughters used to end up faling over with it, so as a walker i wouldnt recomend it, it is a real shame as it was great in every other aspect other than what it was designed to specifically do.

Summary: poor as a walking aid
