Winnie The Pooh Honey Tree Standard Changing Mat Honey Tree Pooh
by emmad5689 When I was pregnant with my first daughter over four years ago I was watching out for a changing mat, I found this one in Tesco for £6.99 which considering it is Disney I thought was a good price and I have always loved Winnie the Pooh so it was an added bonus. When I bought the mat it was wrapped in thin plastic and was ... therefore put away until the little one arrive, the plastic was easy to rip away and then I gave the mat a good clean before using it. The mat is sky blue in colour with white clouds dotted around it, there is a tree on the right hand side of the mat with Winnie the Pooh looking upwards towards a fly and the tree. Along the bottom it says the scent of honey drifts through the air, three sides of the mat are raised to prevent baby rolling off when they become able to roll and the mat is completely white on the back. The mat is obviously easy to use, place on the floor or surface you plan on changing baby on and lay baby on top. You should never leave baby unattended whilst on the mat especially when on a raised surface. I have now used this mat fo two children and it barely looks used, being made of soft plastic it wipes clean easily which is great as we always let our children have time without nappies on on the mat. Both my children have seen comfortable whilst on it and it hasn't faded in colour at all which has surprised me considering it stands wih the top half in the window and therefore sunlight. A simple product which makes baby changing less of a messy business and is great value, well recommended. Read the complete review |

Toy Story Buzz Lightyear Squashy Sponge
by hh1983 So, The whole world is Toy Story mad at the moment because of Toy story 3, and my household is no different. My toddler wants everything toy story, from bags, to pjamas, and we watch all 3 dvds over and over! Now bathtime is one of my sons favorite times, but he hates be washed down, to him, bath time = play time (which is ... fine, but to get him clean is a bonus!) For Christmas he opened 'a buzz lightyear mummy'. He was so pleased, at first thinking it was a teddy bear. When i told him he could take it in the bath, he was over the moon. This squeegee is around £4 and as far as i am aware can be bought from the larger pharmacies, and supermarkets as well as online. This Buzz is around 2ocm tall, complete with 2 legs, 2 arms and an oversized head. The material is kind of a smooth, silky fabric and has all the markings you would expect Buzz to have. HIs boots and buttons and outfit, all in the colours you would expect Buzz lightyear to be wearing. If i am being honest though, although the markings and colourings are the same, i dont think that he really looks like buzz, rather a cheesy gameshow host!! None the less, My son knew who he was supposed to be straight away! Buzz is stuffed and almost to the point of bursting, there really does not seem to be any give in it at all. yes, his legs and arms flap about, but to hold it, he feels very firm! ONce my son had him in the bath, he began brushing his teeth (or cheesy smile to me and you) and helping him 'swim' from one end of the bath to the other. It seemed to be a really great bath toy. In essence though, this product has been labelled a sponge. As a sponge, i dont think that it really deserves the name. Bath toy, great, sponge, not so. It seems too firm and doesnt seem to have a large enough surface area to wash properly. I have used gels and soap bars, and neither seem to give a good enough lather to clean the skin effectively. A real shame. Your hand would wash more effectively. Its a real shame, because if this was labelled a bath toy, i would be giving it 5/5. Great fun, durable and lasting, and is great because my son will roleplay, ehich in turn helps me. He will brush Buzz's 'teeth', and then his own! As a sponge though, it just doesnt effectively lather and cleanse the skin, so 3/5! Read the complete review |

Winnie The Pooh Honey Tree Standard Changing Mat Honey Tree Pooh
by lulu2004 I have a little nursery set up for my baby girl in the Mamas and Papas Meadow Interiors but I felt it was a bit of a waste to buy a new changing mat when I still had one left from my toddler's baby days. It is the Honey Tree Pooh mat and it actually matches my Meadow nursery quite well as it is also lemons and yellows. I use ... a changing mat quite a bit, I take it into the bathroom when baby is getting ready and getting dried, I take it to whatever room I'm spending most of the day in, so that I always have a clean convenient changing area and when its nor in use it sits on top of the dresser/changer in her nursery where ir blends in really nicely. I think its quite god going to still be using the same mat after two children- it certainly shows that it is a very good standard. There are no rips, dents or anything that would suggest that the changing mat is not 'nearly new' I am definitely really happy with it. I have never really been a fan of Winnie the Pooh, even though he seems to be on baby products everywhere and on everything from cots to clothes. The reason I picked this mat was because we had been given a voucher for a baby shop after my son arrived and I had not got a changing mat yet. There wasn't a huge selection, and I wasn't very fussy anyway so I picked the one that was most pleasing on the eye. That was the Honey Tree Pooh one. Oddly enough, despite not being a fan, I picked a Winnie the Pooh Duvet for him in the same 'Honey Tree' range a while later... it's a pretty range and very age-appropriate. Sometimes its nice to jeep baby items looking as childish as possible. The padding is still ample, my daughter really likes to lie on it. She even seems to like it more than she enjoys her play mat so I gather its comfortable for her. You might suspect that so much use would have formed head dents in the foam under the wipe-down plastic, but no. The sides are raised about 1.5 centimetres from the centre of the mat which helps keep any runny mess contained. I always use an Anti-bacterial wipe after use a dash of dettol spray every week to keep it clean and germ free. It comes up as new every single clean. I've never had another and this one is heading in to its third year. Who knows, if I ever have any more children it may still be around our house for years to come! It cost us £8.99 which I am fairly sure is a middle-of-the-road price for a mat. The one that actually matched my nursery was £22 and I just could not face spending that much money on something to simply change a baby's nappy on Read the complete review |
