zerub Kooshies Swim Nappy: ... nappies. Swimming pools generally insist that your baby wears one in the pool. These cost a little more than a pack of disposable swim pants, and last for at least 3 children (probably more, but that is as far as I have got). Although you will need them in several sizes - so you ll probably have to buy 3. Still, I went swimming maybe 100 times with each child before they were potty-trained so I think they re g...

... training pants are reasonably good for what they set out to do. They are not intended to replace nappies, and therefore don't have the absorbency that disposable training pants have, but this actually works in their favour, as the child wearing them learns to associate 'accidents' with being wet. Of all the cloth training pants I've used, they are the least 'pant-like' and the most bulky and nappy-like. They have an unforgiving plasticky outer cover (which provides the waterproofing) and the inner is soft cotton flannel. Unfortunately, the outer is non-breathable, which means that the child does get quite sweaty in them. Unlike d...

Susann Kooshies Swim Nappy
... are a great product in theory, light, bright, easy to dry and contain all the poo! Well I'm sure they would if either of my children had ever done one in the pool in the last 6 years! Either the magical properties of Kooshies prevents anything nasty from attempting to make an exit under water or children just naturally don't poo while swimming and manufacturers are making a fortune from needlessly panicking parents! They are well designed and sort of 'timeless'. They are a layer of 'parachute' nylon with another layer of mesh inside and a white cotton style binding on the edges. They fasten like a nappy at the front with velcro plus a ...

sarahbrazil Kooshies Nappies
... a lot of research and talking to people who used Kooshies, I purchased 10 Classic nappies and 5 Ultras. My son was able to use the Classic nappies from about two weeks old (4kg) with liners and the waterproof outers that go with them. They have washed really well. I don't bother soaking them but just wash them in the machine in warm water. I would recommend these especially as an alternative to regular old-fashioned cloth nappies as they seem to be much more absorbent. My son hasn't had any problem with nappy rash and I find them really easy to use. The Ultras, however, have not been so good for us. He's three months old now (about six-and-a-half kg)...
