... them on there own so you don’t actually need a swimming costume. But she does look soooo cute in her costume!! On the minus side the smallest size they come in fits a 16lb baby. I didn’t notice this until I got them home (duh – I just looked at the small bit and thought they must fit) and my baby was much smaller than this at the time. Because of this I started looking around for other swim pants and started using the floaties aquanappy which I am actually more happy with (see my review of these!) ...more

Premium Review Aqua Nappies: Aqua nappies :Disposables .v. Reusable (681 words)

1) Huggies Little Swimmers I wanted to start taking my baby swimming at a young age so I started looking around for ‘swim nappies’. These seemed the obvious choice, mostly as they were the only ones I could see in my local Boots. They are disposable and are more like a pull up pant than a nappy making them a little more difficult to put on. They have an absorbent part which absorbs wee very well without a great deal of ‘swelling’. They also have a waterproof outer part so the swimming pool water isn’t absorbed. On the plus side they have rip down side seams for easy removal and you then just throw them away ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Suprisingly good (157 words)

I bought this nappy in a rush from mothercare on my way to the swimming pool. My son is quite chunky so I had to but the next size up (12 - 18 months) and they fitted really well. Maybe I am used to a struggle when changing my son but I found I had no more trouble getting them off again than I do with a normal pair of trousers. I actually wanted to buy the Kooshies swimming nappies but Mothercare were sold out but my son found these very comfortable and they gave him alot of freedom as they are shaped just like pants. They come in four sizes 0-6 months, 6-12months, 12-18 months and 18 months +. They also come in three colours pink, blue and what can only be ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Aqua Nappies - Difficult to remove when wet  (218 words)

When I first took my daughter swimming at five months old I was advised by the pool staff to buy swim nappies. Although it was not pool policy to insist on these they prefered babies to wear these for obvious reasons. I bought my little girl a fetching pair of bright pink Aqua Nappies from my local mothercare. If I remember right they came in the usual sizes of 0-6 mths, 6-12 moths, 12-18mths and 24 months plus. They cost me £6.00 and were little pants with elasticated legs and waist, with a waist tie incase they were too big. They are a thick swimming costume material and have a gauze gusset. The idea behind these is that if your child does a pooh it can't escape ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ever pee'ed in a pool ? (304 words)

We as a family find swim nappies are non essential and a huge rip off . 5 pounds for 12 swim nappies is almost laughable . You could get 36 normal nappies for that price . My other half and I were just about to pick some swim nappies off the shelf . The boots assistant ( who we now know quite well after she befriended us in the nappy isle ) walked over she had seen us humming and haaring ( you know what I mean ) whether to buy the swim nappies , she could see we were in obvious distress !!!!) She told us that she never bothered using them for her twins and she said they were a waste of money . This information was useful as we are not the most richest ...  Read the complete review
