Advantages: Great value and great quality

Disadvantages: None!!!

We have two children - 3 and 1 and, as I'm sure you can imagine, we've worked our way through quite a lot of baby wipes over the last few years!! I'm no brand snob and I'm quite happy to buy cheaper/own brands if the quality is good enough and it's going to be cheaper. So, when our eldest was a baby I started off buying Boots own wipes as they seemed to be good value and permanently on 'buy one get one free'. However, as we mostly do our grocery shopping in Asda, I soon decided to try their wipes instead. I'm so glad I did as they are identical to the Boots ones and, since the Boots ones work our at around £1 a pack (after the BOGOF offer which seems to be permanent) and the Asda ones are £1 a pack anyway with no noticeable difference between the two. The Asda wipes are also on offer quite often e.g. at the moment you can buy 5 packs for £4 - even better!

So, are they any good? I would definitely have to say yes! We've used these wipes with both of our daughters and they've been brilliant. The wipes are a good size and are very moist and are able to easily clean up the stinkiest poos or the stickiest hands! We seem to have various packs of wipes stashes around the house for every eventuality - in each of the girls' bedrooms, living room, kitchen and even the car! So, any sticky, messy nightmare that happens - we're prepared!! I've heard people complain that if they buy cheaper wipes they end up using twice as many but, I have occasionally bought Johnsons/Pampers/etc and I really can't say that I used any less with the branded ones. You also have to bear in mind that branded packs tend to be smaller (usually something like 66 compared to 80 in the Asda packs) and when you add this in to the higher price, the branded wipes are generally twice the price of the own brand ones (own brand tend to work at 1p per wipe compared with around 2p per branded!!).

The Asda 'Little Angels' wipes are available in fragranced or fragrance free. I tend to buy the fragrance free as I find the fragranced ones a little too overpowering especially if used around food for wiping hands/faces at mealtimes and I also generally buy fragrance free baby toiletries as I find them kinder to babies delicate skin. That said though, I have bought the fragranced ones on occasion and I've found them to be just as good and with no adverse effects on either of our children's skin. The normal sizes packs contain 80 wipes but there are also smaller packs of 24 wipes available (48p) which are a really handy size for changing bags, etc.

Summary: Great value wipes that do exactly what you need them to do!
