Advantages: Mild scent, gentle on skin

Disadvantages: Bit too moist, can get premium branded wipes cheaper on special offer

I am reviewing the Asda Little Angels Baby Wipes which you can find in the baby toiletries aisle of Asda. They come in a standard plastic pack with a hole in the middle that you pull a wipe out of. I find that they always stay moist and we have never had an issue with the top one drying out, which sometimes happens with other wipes. This is because the pack re-seals well.

These wipes are always on offer for 3 for £3 which seems like good value when compared to £2+ for Pampers, Johnsons or Huggies. However, it is not always the case so do approach them with caution in the financial sense, as this fantastic-sounding offer may not be as good in reality. For example in the Asda Baby Event I stocked up on boxes of 6 packs of Johnsons Baby Wipes (normally costing around £2.50 each) for just £5, and Huggies wipes you can get 6 packs for £5 and normally 12 for £9 in Asda on a fairly regular basis. So the Asda Little Angels are not as much of a bargain as they first appear in light of this, and as all mums know you should never pay full price for baby wipes as they are ALWAYS on offer somewhere!

The wipes themselves have a mild scent which I like as I hate the chemical, harsh-smelling Pampers ones with a well-documented passion.

They feel soft and leave baby's bum smooth and not irritated at all. They are slightly too moist for my liking - although not as moist as the Superdrug ones thank goodness - but this does not mean I won't use them, just that I probably won't buy them again. They are very effective at wiping off poo but my son's bottom needs to be dried slightly after use which I find impractical.

When I tried them for removing makeup they were really good for this, which I presume is because they are very moist. They did not irritate my skin at all which is another good point about them. They never fall apart when you are using them and in general they are good wipes. I will not buy them again because I can get the premium branded ones cheaper and I prefer Huggies overall but I would recommend giving them a try as they are pretty decent, better than lots of other ones I have tried.

Summary: Worth a try
