Advantages: packaging, price, quality, smell, uses, gentle to skin

Disadvantages: nothing at all

Asda have their own baby range which includes toiletries, nappies and baby wipes. This is known as the Little Angels range.

~Baby Wipes~

The Little Angels range includes fragrance, fragrance free, pure and mild and extra care wipes. The extra care wipes have won Mother and Baby awards.

The wipes are hypo-allergenic and dermatologically tested. They are enriched with aloe vera to keep the skin soft and lotion to help prevent nappy rash. These wipes are aimed at using on babies bottoms but are suitable to be used by the full family. They should be disposed of with normal household rubbish and not flushed down the loo.

~Packaging~

The wipes are presented within a rather large, plastic packet (not currently recycled). The pack is blue with white polka dots and features a gorgeous baby and a whole host of information regarding the wipes. The wipes are tightly packed together and there is a sticky tab and plastic lid on the top of the packet to keep the wipes moist. The wipes used be used up within 6months of opening.

~Price~

A 72pk of extra care wipes can be bought in Asda supermarkets or online through www.asda.com. They are priced at £1.00 per pack. The others in the range are priced at 98p for an 80pk.

~Our Thoughts~

Our home isn't strange to baby wipes and we have tried most brands on the market. My son is 3 now but still in night time nappies so I still buy baby wipes mainly for this purchase. I also use them myself and for various other tasks. I started buying these Little Angels wipes around 6weeks ago and have bought a packet in with my shopping every week since.

These wipes represent excellent value for money considering Johnson's are priced at nearly double the price for only 64wipes. The packaging is eyecatching if a little big and the sticky/plastic tub works efficiently. The wipes are fairly easy to pull out but do tend to come out one or two at a time. They keep perfectly moist right down to the last wipe.

~Extra Care For My Boy~

I paid the extra few pence for this particular version of the wipes as I like them to contain something extra to protect my sons delicate skin. Each wipe is white and very thick and soft. The wipes are quite stretchy yet do not tear easily and have subtle boat, teddy and plane like designs etched onto them. An appealing factor (and the reason I like these for myself too) is the scent. The aroma is beautiful and smells like baby lotion mixed with talcum powder. So much nicer than the weird, plasticky aroma which unfragranced wipes often carry.

The wipes are generally used to cleanse my sons bum in the mornings before he puts his boxers on for nursery. They have the strench of 12hours pee to content with as my son isn't confident enough to go to bed without his pull up yet. The wipes are moist but not soaking wet. They are more than fit for their intended purpose and are exceptionally soft and gentle against my sons sensitive bottom. I only need to use one to give him a wipe down and his skin is left soft, clean and dry.

When it comes to bigger jobs such as cleansing a dirty bum, these wipes rise to the challenge. Due to the thick and durable nature of them, I find myself needing to use 2-3 to get rid of any poo from Boos bottom and any smell is wiped away too. They do not tear even with me having long nails and I don't end up with anything icky on my hands! Top marks for bottom cleaning!

I can confirm that beautiful scent does linger (and no, I am not in the habit of sniffing my toddlers bottom!). I usually follow a cleansing routine but if I am being lazy, these wipes make ideal facial wipes. They remove surface make up and the scent is lovely on my face. I don't go near my eyes with them though and they don't particularly moisturise my extra dry skin but they do give it a freshen up. They are moist enough to give other parts of my body a freshen up but I shower daily!

I always carry baby wipes with me as they are perfect for on the going cleansing and these are no exception. They are strong enough to clean grubby fingers and gentle enough to give a childs face a wipe over after a picnic or trip in the car. Because they aren't too moist, the skin dries instantly and no residue is left behind. They are good for dusting as well but I stockpile the Value or Smartprice wipes for this purpose now.

~Conclusion~

These are by far the best, budget baby wipes I have ever bought and I only wish I had spotted them when my son was a baby as they are so much more appealing than the Boots or Huggies wipes. The are a fantastic quality, smell good and perform very well with various tasks whilst being gentle to the skin so I cannot fault them.

Whether you have a baby, toddler or just use baby wipes for your own personal use, I would highly recommend that you give these wipes a try. Well worth a quid a pack.
