Asda Little Angels Baby Powder:
I recently hurt my back - badly. All I did was stand, (very weirdly after reading a tiger balm review where the author described a similar injury), and something pinged in my back. After six hours in A&E I discovered that I have a prolapsed disc. I was given a pile of painkillers but they really made me itch. I was on the verge of scratching off my skin when my Mum told me to get some baby powder and to just smooth it on where ever I itched. I have got to admit that I was sceptical but I was willing to try just about anything and to my utter amazement and joy it worked! I get a lot of relief from smoothing this on and it reduces the urge to itch. On that basis alone I can recommend this powder!
The powder comes in a big white plastic bottle with a lid which twists open to reveal a series of holes which allow you to get the powder out. Be careful though as so much of the powder can come out in one go and go literally everywhere, I speak from experience. I should mention the cute way they have shaped the bottom of the bottle like a baby's bum. As a VERY clucky woman this makes me go "aww" every time I see it. The whole bottle is very cute with a sweet cartoony baby on the label and a sort of "patch work" theme throughout.
Now I haven't used this on a baby but the label on the back assures me that this has been dermatologically tested, is hypo-allergenic and paediatrician approved so it should be safe to use on a baby's delicate skin. I certainly haven't had any problems even on my most delicate areas, (seriously I itch everywhere), but I would always recommend testing on a small area and discontinuing use if any irritation occurs.
I love the smell of this and I bet most people would, the only way I can describe it is to say that it smells exactly like baby powder should smell. It's sweet, delicate and fresh smelling.
After I apply this my skin feels lovely and smooth but after several days it does start to dry out my skin so I would recommend using a moisturiser regularly when you're using this.
This has a 24 month shelf life so you can stock up a bit when this is on offer, and it is often on offer at 2 for £2.00. At full price this is £1.47 for 400g this is great value for money. (Although at the moment Johnson's baby Powder is on offer for £1.00 for 500g so it still pays to shop around).
I can't fault this and I would definitely recommend this this to anyone needing baby powder.
Summary: Mum's really do know best!
