Advantages: Cheap, leave skin ever so soft

I'm a messy little devil so one thing I do cart about with me at all times is a packet of 'wet' wipes. I'm always eating, drinking and/or smoking and I like to freshen up on the go when ever possible! I'm very hygiene conscious indeed! I saw these in my local Asda priced at 42p a packet and thought they had to be worth trying out at that price so through the cash out they came with me!

The Packaging....

White plastic oblong packet with turquoise and white writing all over it and to the middle there is a clear plastic sticky piece that opens and closes up. On the front I'm told they are Asda 'Little Angels' Fragrance Free Cotton Soft Baby Wipes which are 'Soft and thick with gentle cleansers enriched with aloe vera and baby lotion to care for baby's delicate skin'. I'm told they are soft as a feather and there's some drawings of babies on there and I'm told they are dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic and contain 24 wipes per pack. On the back of the packet I'm told a bit about the product, directions for use are given, safety and ingredients are listed, contact details for Asda are given, I'm, told that this product is safe to use up to 3 months after opening and I'm also told not to flush them and that Asda is against animal testing and funds into alternatives and finally there is a bar-code on there. Simple packet and easy to get a wipe out of and reseal etc.

A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Packet.....

Little Angels fragrance free cotton soft baby wipes are enriched with baby lotion to help prevent the causes of nappy rash and contain aloe vera to help care for baby's delicate skin. They are ideal for use at feeding time on your baby's hands and face or great for all the family as a freshen-up wipe, particularly when travelling.

Directions For Use....

Peel back label and use wipe as required. Reseal label after use to keep wipes moist.

The Wipes Themselves....

Well they are white in colour, oblong in shape and they are made of cloth rather than paper although they are quite robust and strong (very strong actually) but you can see through bits of the wipe.

They don't smell, they are moist and soft to use where ever you choose to. Although I haven't used them on a baby I can't see why an earth you couldn't as they are soft and smooth and easy to use and dispose of.

They do clean up sticky messes easily, leave the skin feeling cleaner and fresher however they are no good for lifting and disguising smells. So say you've been eating crisps you will clean up your hands but smells will be left behind so for this reason I'm not sure they'd be all that great to use on smelly babies! lol.

Overall....

They are ok and they do a job, gently. I do like the fact that they leave where they're touched feeling really soft and smooth but not so keen on them not disguising nasty whiffs! Worth the pennies they cost though for certain and if you economising you could seriously do worse than buy a packet of these!

Summary: Not my top choice!
