Advantages: around half the price of big brands

Disadvantages: often out of stock

In the recent times of trouble where money is concerned and most are feeling the pinch I think it's a good idea to give cheaper and home brands a chance to see if you can save money. This is when I first tried Asda nappies

When I first thought to try them I was actually in Asda trying to decide if the best offer was pampers or Huggies. I have used Pampers for most of my little boy's life so far (he is two in December) until recently when I tried Huggies version of pull ups. This was when I realised I had not been using the best nappy for my son. So I decided if there was a better make out there than Pampers maybe there was of huggies too. I looked at the price of Asda pull ups, £3.97 for 32 and then at Pampers, these were a horrifying price of £5.99 for 18 and then Huggies was not much better at £4.99 for 16. I was pleased to try the better prices pants until I realised they had all gone. This was disappointing to say the least. I decided that maybe it was because they were good and so popular and tried the normal nappies rather then pull ups. I can honestly say they are as good as the big brands and well worth the lack of name. I will not buy the big brands again unless I have the aid of a coupon or the offer is really good. Asda are currently on offer of 3 packs for £10. I have never seen others at this excellent rate so it is unlikely I will buy them again. The fact that they didn't have the ones I wanted first time was defiantly due to their popularity as I do struggle to get the pull ups a lot but am happy to use standard ones till I can get them.

The only bad point to make is the fact they are often out of stock and I have made a suggestion for bigger amounts to be ordered at my local store, I am told this is a matter already in hand so fingers crossed.

Summary: excellent quality and price
