Advantages: Secure fastening, comfortable fit, no leaks
Disadvantages: Not keen on the pictures on them
We tried Asda Little Angels Baby Dry size 3 nappies during my whistlestop tour of all the own brands, and got on pretty well with them. We got 3 packs for £9 which is a good price.
To be fair, I don't have a bad comment to make about the nappies themselves other than that I do not like the pictures on them, which by my own admission is pretty trivial. They have cartoon pictures of babies on but it took me a good few days to realise that is what they are - I thought they were aliens and thought that was an odd picture to have on nappies.
I am not hugely fussy and my son's bottom is not sensitive at all so I like a good few brands, therefore the picture thing is enough to put me off buying them again unless I happened to be doing an Asda shop as there are other nappies that perform as well and have nice bright jungle animals on them, but I would still say they are worth a whirl especially if you are not bothered about the design on them.
You cannot smell when they are wet (unlike Pampers Baby Dry!), they fasten securely and look very comfortable around the tummy and legs. They are a little bit less padded than other brands but not so much that they are too thin. They are very absorbent and we have never had any leaks.
You can also get loads and loads of nappies for under a tenner - far better value than the premium brands and you certainly lose nothing in performance!
Summary: Of all the own brands these were surpassed only by Tesco - definately worth buying to try!
