Advantages: Inexpensive, Soft, Fluid retainment

Disadvantages: you have to listen to asda radio whilst purchasing.

Once upon a time, there was just one varierty of nappies, terry towels.

Then came the new amazing 'disposable' nappies. These cost more but were a better option for those who didn't have the time to boil wash those lovely white squares of cloth.

Now in the year 2001, terry towels are more or less obselete, and the world of disposable nappies are at our finger tips.

We all see the top brands as pampers and huggies, and the rest just follow suit as cheap and chearful brands. Then i came accross Asda's own brand nappies.

WOW

The results were fantastic. My son was very active at the time and so i found brands such as huggies were unfastening far to easy.

Asda's nappies are soft to the touch both inside and out, and are extemely effective at soaking up those whiffy smells!!! I actually carried out a very scientific test (ahem....), in my own kitchen, just to 'see for myself'. I opened a 'leading' brand nappy i had left over, and opened an asda nappy. I began to pour water and measured the amounts.

The results were that asda nappies took 15 mls more than the leading brand, and that when wringing the nappies, the Asda brand retained the most water.

There folks, all nice and scientific(i feel quite clever now), and so i kept with them for remainder of my son's nappy period.

Asda's brand are nearly £1 cheaper than the leading brands, so you do save money too. Go on folks, give em a try.

If you don't want to buy a whole pack, but want to try them, when you next go shopping at Asdas, go to the customer service desk, and ask for a nappy for your child, because you have forgotten yours. They will give you one free of charge in the size category you require. This is a good way to sample before you buy.

Before i go, 2 years later i discovered another brand which is even better, and cheaper still... Keep an eye ou
t for part 2.......

A lot of the supermarket nappies are good value, I've used Safeways,Aldi and Lidl in the past.
