Asda nappies - What a shame (Asda Nappies)

Asda nappies used to stand up to any premium brand nappies and I always felt I had a bargain when I bought them (at £4.55 a pack they were certainly a cheap buy), I have regularly used Asda nappies since my son was born 2 1/2 years ago, and always found them to be as good as the premium nappies on the market, they had a high absorbancy and my son appeared comfortable in them, and they never leaked during nightime use.

However about 6 months ago, they changed the packaging (now re-labelled 'George', which is a shame because it lets down the George range), and also it seems the nappies inside

At first I approved of the changes, the nappies seemed to have a softer cover, and felt more comfortable to the touch, however the absorbancy is now very poor, and the nappy gets heavy and sags very quickly - my son needed a change every 2 hours, otherwise he would be grabbing himself trying to hoist the middle section of the nappy up, my son who has never leaked at night, started to wake up in the mornings soaking wet and distressed. Also the gel inside has come out of the nappy and all over my sons skin.

All in all Asda nappies are now no longer a choice for myself, and I have changed to another (premium brand). I did complain to Asda (and know of others who did too)but received no reply.

Which is a shame for Asda, as they have missed out on 2-3 more years of my daughters nappy usage.

Summary:
