Advantages: price, fragrance free
Disadvantages: thin, small
Today I worked out that I am using two packets of baby wipes a week - thats around 20 per day ! It sounds a lot but I really do find them useful for all sorts of purposes.
Usually I buy the Johnsons Baby Wipes, but have decided to give Asda Smartprice Wipes a try after seeing them on the shelf at a much cheaper price.
*PRICE AND AVAILABILITY*
A packet containing 80 wipes cost me only 76p which is very cheap. These are sold in Asda next to the baby products.
*PACKAGING*
The packaging is basic which is to be expected with the smartprice range, however it looks quite appealing and I have no complaints about the packaging.
*THE WIPES*
The first thing that I notice about the wipes are that they are smaller and thinner than the ones that I usually purchase, that of course means that I tend to use more wipes on each nappy change.
They seem to be fragrance free which I like - some of the other cheaper wipes that I have tried have a really strong, fake smell to them.
Another thing that I like about these wipes is that they pull out individually without getting stuck together, so you don't end up with 5 in your hand when you only want one.
I have used these wipes on my own face before and they do feel nice and gentle but slightly drying, however not as bad as some other brands.
*MY OVERALL VERDICT*
These wipes are very good value for money, and are perfect to keep handy for wiping dirty hands, faces or spillages. They are not so good for cleaning up dirty nappies as they are a little bit too small and thin.
Out of the brands that I have tried, these are not the best but definately not the worst. For me they are perfect to stock up on and keep in the house in case of a baby wipe emergency.
I will continue to buy them occaisionally but they are not my favorite brand, however I would reccommend that you try them as you might be pleasantly suprised.
Summary: I do like these !

- 20/04/09 We use these and I like them. My mum sometimes buys us huggies which I think are rubbish. |

- 20/04/09 I tend to use either simple wipes or cotton wool for nappy changes. but these sound much better than sainsburys basics ones, maybe worth keeping in the glove box for fingers and chocolatey faces. |
