Advantages: Great big long lasting bubbles, encourages our son to bathe

Disadvantages: None

Lately we have been buying Avon Kids Bubble Bath. Getting our little lad to have a bath is becoming more of a problem as he gets older and washing his hair is a complete nightmare. We are always on the lookout for something to 'tempt' him to want to get clean and Avon Kids Bath looked like it might just do the trick.

We bought this out of the Avon catalogue, which our next-door neighbour runs and we paid £2.50 for our 250ml bottle. Sometimes this is on special offer of half price, though we always seem to miss the offer and end up having to pay the full price. The bottle we have (and had previously) is a bright yellow plastic, and not the blue colour as here in this picture. It is bright and eye catching and certainly designed to be child-friendly and appealing to kids.

The perfume of the one we use is great and suitable for both girls and boys. We pour a small amount of the liquid under his bathwater as it runs and it soon develops into a load of great bubbles - some of them are massive. The liquid is fairly runny in consistency and a gel like texture. It smells fruity and very fresh and not flowery at all.

The bottle may only contain 250ml but you really don't need a lot of this stuff to produce a bath load of great bubbles. What's more, the bubbles seem to last for ages. Once we actually manage to get him into a bath, it's often difficult to get him back out again and he'll sit there until the water gets tepid. Even so, the bubbles will last right until the end, even though he's also using soap in the bathwater. This stuff is fairly impressive.

I have even used this bubble bath myself, on occasion and I am happy to be smelling like a fruity berry afterwards. The bubble bath is kind and gentle on our skin and the smell is long lasting. It's great stuff for all the family to use, I think, and it certainly encourage sour little lad to take a bath more regularly.

Summary: Definitely recommended
