Advantages: Cheap, easy to clean, drainage hole, handles

Disadvantages: Heavy when full,

I have this bath in a yellow and white colour. It cost me only £7 from Toys R Us, I actually bought a new one for my son when I already had an old one lying around of my daughters. I am very into hygiene when it comes to a newborn baby and yes I know baths can be antiseptically cleaned very easily, but the old one was from Mothercare and was showing some signs of wear and decided to invest in a new one when I got pregnant the second time round

Well realistically £7 is not a huge investment and as I had already bought other new items such as a new changing mat, blankets, moses basket etc, I decided to get a new bath too. Bear in mind I had given most of the other items away anyway.

I decided to colour coordinate as it is very easy in Babies R Us. Hence it is easy for a hormonal pregnant woman to get carried away in the number of items bought from the store, also the one I go to is massive and so nicely decorated that I really wanted my baby items mostly from there. A lot of people say there is no need for a baby bath as of course you can use the sink or be careful with the normal bath, but I personally felt that I needed to finish my baby shopping with a bath.

Now back to the bath, I chose the yellow coloured one as it was so bright and I had read that new born babies like bright colours to look at. The price was another advantage. Also this bath was the largest I had seen and I liked the way the sides were bigger then my previous baby bath. This would mean less spillage of water when carrying it, also less mess when the baby starts splashing around. It has handles so it is easy to hold too and one side is very tall and is a great back support for the baby when they will be a bit older. It has a drainage hole with a plug which makes it easier to empty water.

My baby is on the chubby side and I am glad I bought the biggest bath I had seen around and he is 10 months now and can still comfortably use it. I personally find it easier to use a baby bath for as long as possible as I find it quick to clean and fill up with water and if needed can take it to another room.

The negatives to this product and probably all baby baths is that they are so heavy to lift when full of water, also if leaving it in the bath it can hurt your back by bending the whole time. The drainage hole can also be a disadvantage as my son has managed to pull the plug out before.

Summary: Overall I think it was worth every penny I spent on it.
