I have recently had a baby girl, and I bought her a baby bath I didn't think of getting any support for it at all, but I was given the batheasy from a relative and it was the best thing they could of done I wouldn't try to bath her with out it now that I have it.
I don't know where they got it from, it had the price on the wrapping it was £8, definitely worth the money its such a great thing to have, it is available on eBay starting from £1 I think.
It is a white cotton cloth on a white wire frame, which is higher up 1 end to support the babies head out of the water and lower down the bottom where their feet go. It is 16 inches long and 9 ½ inches wide, the head support comes up by 4 inches.
It's really soft on babies skin unlike some of the plastic and rubber types which I think would be quite uncomfortable personally.
Because it is made of fabric and not plastic or rubber your baby can't just slip off of it. You can get blow up supports aswell but I don't think they would be very good because your baby would stick to it. Well personally I definitely think this is best out of all baby bath supports to buy.
I have found that where it is actually made out of cotton material the material tends to mould slightly around the shape of her head which keeps her head really well supported so she cant wriggle around to much and fall off into the water, its a wonderful product its so good being able to have 2 hands free to wash your baby.
I don't think that I would be as confident about giving my baby a bath if I didn't have this product, I would have been a lot more nervous.
You can simply take the fabric off of the wire frame and was it in the machine, so it's also very good hygiene wise aswell. My babies 6wks old now and I am so glad of the batheasy because it takes all of the stress out of bathing your newborn and makes it easy and fun to do.
So all I can say to new mums is to find 1 of these and buy it, it is a top buy great value for money.
WE moved Jack to the big bath and bought the swivel seat with play beads, however when you go to take him out of it he pulls his legs up and it takes two to get him out. So off I trotted to the shops to see what else I could get him, as he is only just sitting up by himself and would not feel happy about bathing him without some kind of aide. I bought the baby Batheasy, which is really good, it supports their back, shoulders and head. It is basicly a Z covered in stretchy terry towling, (this can be removed for washing) Its suitable from birth and Jack is 7 months and still lies there good as gold. I bought mine from John lewis but have seen it in Toys-r-us.
