Advantages: Very economical, works

Disadvantages: None

I tried the usual Sudocrem when I had my baby, but it was quite difficult to apply, and I thought that this would probably discourage me from using it. I had only tried it because it was free anyway. I then tried Savlon, and used it until my daughter was about 12 months old. I is easy to put on, and because it is thinner than Sudocrem it is more economical. It was like spreading lard on a roast using the Sudocrem. Also, if you buy Savlon nappy cream from stores like Tesco's, they usually have a two for one offer on now and then, so it is worth buying four, which would probably last you most of the time you needed it.

No nappy rash, except for a bit of redness caused by a particularly caustic poo one night when she was in her cot. And believe me, you could have used that one to strip the paint off old doors.
