Advantages: easy to use, cheap

Disadvantages: Not suitable of heavy wetters

I used Bambino Mio prefolds when my daughter was about 4 weeks old I chose them because they had trial packets in a local store for just £10. The wraps were great and the prefolds did their job but unfortunately my daughter is a very heavy wetter and I had to change her prefolds every hour, not a very good start to reusable nappies. It didn't put me off thought and i swapped to Imse Vimse organic. It was not an option to use 2 prefolds in one wrap because they wouldn't fit.

I agree with you - my son wees for England - but I still get on fairly well with Mio Bambino prefolds - I put some boosters down the front though to absorb more liquid. I absolutely hate pooey cloth nappies though - I wish I knew when he was going to poo so it could go in a disposable & save the cloth nappies for wees lol!

How much are they normally? What is a heavy wetter and what is a light wetter? I'm glad you use cotton nappies though - can't stand those plastic things.
