Advantages: excellent for shifting nappy rash

Disadvantages: none

Firstly I would like to say a massive Thank you to my Dad who introduced me to this cream last week as he was using it on his new tattoo.

My 5 month old little boy had been suffering with the runs and as a restult his bottom has become very very sore and was starting to blead in places. I was using Sudacrem to try and treat it but after my 3 year old got his hands on it and it in now all over the carpet I had to use Savlon which was in my cupboard. When I arrived at my parents house the following day my Dad saw the state of my little mans bottom and suggested trying out his new cream. I decided to give it a go as it could not do it any worse than it was.

I found that the cream was very greasy when applying but it seemed to instantly soothe his bottom when applying and all the tears just seemed to stop.

Later when I did his next nappy change the difference in his bottom was already noticable, the redness had started to fade and the bleading was no longer there. Again I applied the cream at every nappy change and within 3 days of using on every nappy change the sore bottom was beautiful again.

The cream comes in a 30g tube which is white and blue in colour. The packaging claims that if used on every nappy change it forms a long lasting breathable barrier and protects delicate skin against the irritants that cause nappy rash. I can honestly agree with these claims.

The ingredients are, Aqua, Lanolin, Paraffinum liquidum, Petrolatum, Panthenol (Dexpanthenol), Prunus dulcis, Cera alba, Ceetyl alcohol, Stearyl alcohol, Ozokerite, Glyceryl oleate, Lanolin alcohol.

The cream must also be stored in a cool dry place below 25 degres celcius.

another great use for this cream which I have also tested and found is for new tattoos. If applied several times a day to a new tattoo it help the healing and also stops it from scabbing.

Bepanthen is not widely available and the only stockists I have found for thid so far is Lloyds chemist, hope fully when it becomes more widely known and popular more stores will start to stock it. I purchased my tube for £2.98 which is a great price for such an amazing cream.

Bepanthen is made by Bayer Plc and the cream is also available in 100g size.

I would strongly recommend this cream to any mother or father who has a child suffering from nappy rash or also to any tattoo fans who is thinking of having one done.

I forgot to say that I paid £2.98 for my tube which I fell is well worth the price, there are cheaper creams available but none are as good as this.

I also have this review posted on Ciao! under the same name.

Summary: a nappy rash cream that works!
