Advantages: heals tattoos in as little as 3 days.

Disadvantages: can be a bit greasy.

I cannot praise this product enough. I first started using it this year on my tattoos and it is just incredible. I had often heard that bepanthen was too greasy to use to heal tattoos but it is literally amazing! The vast majority of tattoos I have used it on have healed within three days.

Normal healing usually takes 1 to 2 weeks and i have tried all different kinds of things including what used to be my favorite which as vaseline intensive care cream. However I will never switch back as bepanthen seems to not only speed up the healing but reduce and scabbing which can sometimes happen.

So how should you use it? Well after the tattoo has been done and you have left your origional covering on for an hour, go home and take it off and wash the area with soap and luke warm water and pat dry with a (soft), clean towel. When you are satisfied the skin is dry apply a thin layer of bepanthen and rub in gently...what i usually do if it is an are which will be covered with clothes is to then put some cling film over the top and tape it in place. It is fine to do this as long as you change it regurlarly. To change it just repeat the cleaning and drying and apply it again and it should take around 3-6 days to heal MAGIC!

The only downside I have found is when I have stupidly forgotten to cover the tattoos in bed, now if you can you really should cover them to sleep as bepanthen is super greasy and you can stain your bed covers with grease stains which I accdientally did once oops!

Summary: The best product I have ever used to heal tattoos.
