Bepanthen is ultimatly a nappy rash cream however tattoists also recommend it. After having a tattoo done I was adviced to use bepanthen and I had actually not heard of it even though I had a baby who was around six months at the time. I used it on my healing tatoo as it creates a barrier which protects healing skin and my new peice of bodyart was pain free and completly healed after only a couple of days, I was truely amazed as I had one tattoo done before and used vaseline and it took a very long time before it the tenderness left.

I then used the Bepanthen on my son the next time he had a little irritation on his bottom and it worked better than anything I had ever used before, even creams prescibed by the doctor!
My little ones bottom was clear after a couple of uses and I have been using it ever since. My mum is a nurse and she always uses a different cream on him when he is staying with her but I myself would not use anything else. It does the job quickly and effectivly and is not a think or heavy cream so I am guessing it would be more comfortable on your babys bottom than some of the very think barrier creams on the market.

For a large tube of the stuff I pay about £6.50 which lasts for a reasonable amount of time as only a small pea sized amount is needed for each application.

Summary: a must have product for your baby changing bag or a tattooists cabinet
