Advantages: Soothing, Mild, Lathers well

Disadvantages: None

My bubba used to be an absolute nightmare at bedtime, she used to cry and wind herself up until she couldn't settle herself to sleep. Bath time and bedtime used to be the most stressful part of the day and I hated doing it by myself as I used to end up so stressed out by it all.

In the midst of my attempt at trying to find something to calm her, I discovered baby dreamtime bath in boots and decided to give it a shot. To my surprise, it worked wonders and had a great soothing and calming effect on both of us.

The product comes in a light purple coloured flip cap bottle and is shaped to be gripped onto as we all know how difficult it is whilst supporting a baby and opening a wet bottle one handed is, so the shape is well designed and the cap makes it easy to open. The bottle is made out of plastic and I'm not certain if it can be recycled but I don't have to worry about knocking it off the side of the bath as it is durable.

The soothing comes from the mixture of chamomile and lavender, both essential oils well known for their relaxing effects. I worry about my bubba's skin, especially when I use new products as she is very sensitive but I found it reassuring that it had been approved by both dermatologists and paediatricians and it was really gentle to her skin.

I really like the scent and have been known to sneakily use it in my bath. I find it very fresh but calming and not at all overwhelming like many bath products. I found my skin was a lot softer after my bath with it as I believe it has moisturising qualities as well to leave your baby's skin soft.

I find you only need to add a small amount to the bath as it lathers up really well and I can guarantee that it will last a long time.

I think it is a great product for pretty much anyone, it is kind to sensitive skin and really calms you.

The product is available from Boots costing £2.49 for 500ml, which I think is a good price as you can pay a lot more for soothing baby aimed products and I would definitely buy it again.

Summary: Definitely an alternative to the expensive brands
