Baby lotion is a wonderful product - I've used it from the day my daughter was born, not just on her skin, but for myself as well .

Especially after a long hot bath, my skin tends to dry out . While, like any other girl, I have a bathroom full of lotions and potions designed to moisturise various bits of me, a lot of them take time and effort to apply, or were expensive and thus regarded as 'special occasion' lotions
.

Baby lotion though is great for everyday usage - not just because it's designed for young skin, and thus very gentle, but also because it's incredibly cheap, less than £2.50 for a 500ml bottle (and sometimes included in multibuy deals)>

It comes in a pink bottle with a squirty nozzle, enabling you to squirt a blob into your palm without making a mess, or of course directly onto your skin . It has a very mild scent, not something easy to describe, just a smell I always associate with a freshly bathed baby . It spread and absorbs easily, and I find I don't need a huge amount to cover my whole body . It doesn't leave me with any greasy residue either, and that lovely fresh clean scent lingers (although it isn't strong, you could wear a light scent over it while going out quite easily).

I also use it to lubricate my legs when shaving - just a tiny amount softens the skin making it easier to glide the razor over my monkey legs without ripping the hairs out brutally or tearing the skin .

I've used this also on my daughter since she was tiny - always a little goes on just after a bath . I also find a little squirt on a cotton wool bud removes chocolate from around her mouth, so I've decanted some into a smaller handbag for messy situations -that I also use to remove my own makeup!

One other great thing I've noticed with baby lotion is that, if my tights are a little staticy after coming out of the tumble dryer , if I put them on,then moisturise my hands with the lotion, and then rub my hands down my legs, the static vanishes - quite nifty when I want my skirt to sit correctly and not cling to my tights .

Baby lotion is definitely a product I'd recommend to any parent of young children, or indeed to anyone with sensitive skin who needs a little extra moisture . I always buy from Boots as I find this brand in particular spreads and absorbs well.

Definitely recommended .

Ive never used the Boots version - I use the Superdrug version as Boots is a way out of town for me. I find their baby shampoo generally great too.
