Advantages: cheap, smells nice and leaves soft skin

Disadvantages: none

I've always used moisturiser and baby lotions on my son to keep his skin feeling smooth and soft. I have always used and trusted Johnsons baby products and used their baby lotion, but it is expensive, and when I was shopping in boots, I saw their own brand and thought I would give it a try.

In the past, I've gone into boots to buy products like face wash or shower gel and ended up buying their own brand. It is really good, I'd say that their products are just as good as the brands you would normally buy.

The Johnsons baby lotion is £3.12 for 500ml and the Boots brand baby lotion costs £2.49 for the same amount. Considering that it is the same thing and you get the same amount, that is a significant price difference so I decided to try Boots' lotion.

The bottle is a similar pink colour to the Johnsons although unlike the smooth shape of the Johnsons bottle, the Boots bottle has deep grooves on the sides of the bottle which make it much easier to grip, something very handy when your trying to put it on a protesting three year old! The lid flips up so there is no danderous small lid to screw off and lose, something I always do!

I bathed my son then got the lotion and put a walnut sized amount on my hands. I rubbed it into his legs and torso, and it spread very easily and sparingly so I didn't have to use much. It soaked in after a few minutes and didn't leave his skin feeling sticky or greasy which I often find with body lotions. Afterwards, his skin had a nice baby kind of smell and felt incredibly soft and nice.

I often end up using some of this lotion myself because it is very nice smelling and leaves your skin nice and soft and I won't be paying the extra amount to get Johnsons anymore when I can get a brilliant similar product for much less. At the moment, Boots baby toiletries are currently on offer for buy one get one free, so get in there! I'd definitely recommend this to others, I'm amazed everyone isn't buying this.

Summary: A brilliant cheaper option
