Advantages: Moist and cheap
Disadvantages: Cant get the silly things open
Before I had children I would never have bought baby wipes but since children I have realised that they are the perfect accompaniment to sticky fingers.
I have to admit that these have now taken the place of of lipstick and hand lotion in my handbag.
I use babywipes for 101 things around the house and out and about like cleaning faces or shoes or wiping up spills on the pushchair or in the car.
Over the last 6 years I have tried most options on the market and regularly find that companys change the ingredients or bring in no options like sensitive or fragrance free.
I have found that my childrens skin doesnt agree with Pampers or Huggies but are okay with Johnsons but I find they can be quite expensive so I have been looking around for a cheaper alternative.
Normally I buy wipes when they are on offer at the supermarket but on a visit to Boots the Chemist for medicine I remembered that we needed wipes and went to see what kind of range they had. I noticed that these were on 3 for 2 and thought that I would get my advantage points too so decided to give them a try.
Each pack contains 72 wipes and they come in regular, sensitive and fragrance free. I opted for the fragrance free version.
When I got them home I opened them or tried to at least. They have the plastic lid on the top which is great for keeping them moist and inside it is a white sticker that you have to peel off to get into the wipes. Unfortunately I could not get it off. Eventually I managed but ripped the packet in the process.
Once I got into the packet the wipes were moist but not to moist and not to thick but didnt rip. They were perfect for wiping faces, sticky hand, shoes etc but when you tried to pull one out you ended up with 3 or 4 and in the end it was just a waste.
I am now on the final packet out of the 3 but would not buy these again due to the packet. If they could make the packet easier to open and make it so that you could get just one at a time then I would definately consider purchasing these but until then..... sorry Boots I am going back to Johnsons.
Summary: Great alternative to big makes but packaging makes them a real let down.
