Advantages: cheap when on multibuys or BOGOF, smell nice, clean well, bums and bathrooms!!

Disadvantages: Not the cheapest when not on offer

I have tried lots of different brands of baby wipes since having my son 9 months ago and a few weeks ago I found a pack of Boots Baby Wipes in the airing cupboard which had been opened but not finished. I remember that I had these in the house (for removing make-up and a bit of general cleaning) since before he was born .. basiaclly meaning that these had probably been opened for a year or so! The plastic 'lid' which seals the top provides great mositure protection and these wipes were still in great nick.

The reason I had not bought any since having my son was purely on a friends complete rejection of them. We were in a Boots when our babies were around 6 and 8 weeks ago, both wanting various bits and I picked up a small handy pack of huggies wipes in a travel pack box. At the checkouts were a couple of shelves of Boots only Baby Wipes and I was checking out the prices my friend said to me 'Lisa, stop, don't look at them, don't even let them know that you know that they are there'. She is quite against these wipes because she thinks they are useless. However, since finding the opened pack a few weeks back I am slightly converted.

At the moment Boots have a buy one get one free offer on these and at £1.49 per pack (with one free) these really are a bargain. I stocked up ...... I mean seriously stocked up - Boots triple points on £25+ spends on baby helped persuade me to do so!

The 72 Baby Wipes are contained in a purple wrapper (dark purple for gently fragranced and lighter purple for fragrance free) with a plastic lid dispenser which simply clicks back into place when not being used, keeping the wipes inside moist (as proved over a year time period in my airing cupboard of all places). On first use there is a plastic seal to be removed and this can be either discarded or left on the pack as it is still sticky.

The fragrances wipes have a lovely delicate smell, not too disimilar from Johnson's products, which is probably what Boots are aiming for. The wipes contain baby lotion 'to help prevent the causes of nappy rash and protect delicate skin ...' accordingly to the packet. The wipes are packed interweaved so you can simply grab one at a time, though I often find 2 in my hand when pulling blindly from the pack.

All in all I am really happy with these and they seem to be one of the better own brand Baby Wipes. I have probably got enough to last for a few months and hope to stock up again the next time they are on the same BOGOF offer. I would not say that I will be completely loyal to this brand though, just what ever is cheaper at the time!

Summary: I am glad I " .. let them know that I knew that they were there"

I thought these were great with my son too but they have been taking them off the buy one get one free offer lately.

I always find these to be a little thin.
