Advantages: easy to put on compared to oils

Disadvantages: just didnt seem to do the trick for us

My son was bothered with cradle cap and the midwife recommended using everything natural so we persevered with olive oil but getting nowhere. A friend saw this and bought it for us to try and i have to say it did work to some extent but didnt clear it up im afraid. The thing that worked best in the end was Johnsons baby oil and brushing out with a comb - i do think this product may work in less severe cases but ours had perhaps gone too far by then and i do wonder if other people would be in the same boat if the current advice from midwives steers people away from commercialised creams towards olive oils? Id say it did no harm to use - it didnt smell bad at all - and was much easier than the oil to put on as it didnt run everywhere but i woulnt buy again as i didi find the Johnsons baby oil worked for us but thats just what i found.

Summary: worth a try if you are at the stage of looking for solutions and nothing to loose
