A great non branded nappy that works just as well as the well known brands.

Advantages: Soak up well, cute designs and a great alernative to branedd nappies.
Disadvantages: Start to smell very quickly.
Having 3 children in nappies, as you could imagine it comes at a price, a hefty one at that. Buying Pampers or Huggies is just out of the question. My bank balance could never stretch to that. So since having my son (now two years old) I decided to invest my money in cheaper brands. I have tried the basic nappies from supermarkets but above all the rest I found that boots nappies rule the other out by far.
I purchase two different sizes of boots nappies size 6 which come in a pack of 22 and are the largest size available, being suitable for children who are 16kg plus or 35lbs plus. But it goes more by the shape of your child depending on if they have a larger bum or wider hips.
I also purchase boots own branded active stretch size 4 nappies which come in a pack of 26 nappies. These are suitable for children between the weights of 7-18kg or 15-40lb. This is a large size range and they have a good stretch on them to accommodate your child's size.
They both retail for less than £5, making this excellent value for money (compared to the slightly higher branded nappies.) you can also purchase in packs approx. 55 for just under £7.00. They are currently on offer in boots, 3 for 2, cheapest free obviously! And don't forget to use your boots advantage card to receive your point, or if your registered with the boots parenting club you will receive 10 points for every pound you spend (on the baby and toddler department) instead of the normal 4 points per pound spent in store.
They come in a thin plastic, easy to open packet. The nappies and nice and tightly packed together, keeping them clean and sterile.
Upon opening the nappies, each nappy has a colourful picture on the front. The nappy is nicely lined, and stretches easily to fit around your little ones legs. The tabs are easy to open and attach to the front of the nappy with a good grip which through are rough and tumbling, crawling or climbing will hold tight.
So do the nappies work? They have a lovely thick pad on the crotch, slightly thicker than the branded nappies but do not restrict your child's movement. The thick pad is very absorbent. Both my youngest and middle child wear these to bed and they have leaked on very few occasions through the night, but normally are great at holding it in, it also absorbs well into the pad taking it away from babies skin on their bum. This reduces the amount touching the skin and reduces nappy rash.
One thing I have noticed about the boots branded nappies is that the urine starts to smell quite quickly and I would recommend wrapping them in a nappy sack and placing in an outdoor bin as soon as possible as they do not disguise the smell fantastically well. But the nappy should be removed and changed regularly to prevent nappy rash.
Overall these nappies are far by the best non branded nappies on the market and I would recommend them to any mum who is looking for a cheaper reliable brand.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
Summary: excellent quality product.
