Advantages: just like knickers but with the absorbancy of a nappy

Disadvantages: costly if using all the time

I couldn't believe my luck when about a month after my eldest daughter had cracked using the potty during the day, she was dry at night. I gave myself a hearty pat on the back and thought that was that job done.

The dry nights lasted until the cold weather set in and then Jess took a massive step backwards. She refused to get out of her warm bed to use the loo and with each passing week she seemed to get worse instead of better. I then had to make the dreadful decision to put her back into nappies at night.

This shouldn't cause too much of a problem except Jess is very lazy and doesn't do anything that she doesnt have to. As soon as her nappy was on she would wet it and find it quite funny that she didnt have to worry about finding her potty or walking all the way up the stairs to use the toilet.

I wasn't sure what I could do to try and stop her from being so lazy but keep her dry at night. I remembered some time ago I tried Huggies pulls-ups but didn't really like them. They were too tight and although Jess could pull them down she couldn't get them back up again. To my delight I noticed that Boots do their own version of the pull-ups and not only are they cheaper but you also get more in a packet.

The first night I put Jess in them, I told her they were special knickers so when she needed to go for a wee she could just pull them up and down herself. Boots own version are not as tight as the Huggies so she could easily pull them up and down herself without getting frustrated. As they are that much looser, I really thought that they would be leaking by the morning. I had a lovely suprise though because although Jess had wet it, her PJ's and bed was perfectly dry.

These nappies come in two sizes....medium for 2-3 year olds and large for 4-5 year old. The smaller size comes in packs of 16 and the larger size pacls of 14. They cost £3.99 a packet, which although certainly isn't cheap, doesn&#
39;t work out too bad in my situation as I am only using 1 a day.

The nappies themselves have an elasticated waist band, a coloured waist band so you can tell which way around they go, a breathable panel at the back which lets air flow through so their skin stays dry, leakage barriers and a super absorbent middle that soaks up all the liquid.

Just incase you are worried about how you will get the thing thing of if there is a bit more than a wee in there, the sides are made so you just tear them apart then it is just alike an ordinary nappy.

I cant praise these nappies enough as they are the perfect solution to my little problem and they only negative side to them is the price.

I will DEFINITELY bear these in mind. My daughter isn't quite at that stage yet, but she IS lazy, and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see that she does the same as yours.

I put my son in these for the first time today,I agree, they are easy to pull up and down. Alas, I have potty training ahead of me in the next few weeks!
