Advantages: Smaller bag, easier and lighter to carry

Disadvantages: None

When my Son was a tiny baby we had the biggest changing bag possible -we carried around loads of nappies and wipes, sapre clothes, anything we could possibly need. The bag weighd a tonne and was really cumbersome to carry around - it only just about fitted under the buggy!
After a few months I got fed up of carrying such a huge bag everywhere and switched to a slightly smaller bag, but it was still a designated 'changing' bag.
When my Son started nursery at 12 months old for 2 days a week he needed to take a bag with nappies and wipes for the day and a change of clothes. I had just joined a book club and received a small childs rucksack as a joining gift. I managed to squeeze all of his changing things, clothes and even a few toys in his small bag and I now use it every day. I can fit my mobile phone/purse/keys in a smaller pocket and it's all I have to take out with me.
I have seen simialr bags to the one I recieved in market shops and similar places for about £3 - it may not lst as long a some of the specially designed bags but at that proce it can be replaced and you wont get fed up of it.
Thank goodness I haven't ever needed to take bottles out with me - I think that's why so many Mums have huge bags, to put all the formula in :(
