Lidl own brand nappies - don't bother! (Cien Nappies)
Member Name: Mrs-LT
Advantages: None Disadvantages: Tabs not sticky enough, too thin These are Lidl's own brand of nappy and while it is not somewhere I normally shop, when trying out all of the own brand nappies to see if we liked any I thought I'd better get some of these as they come highly recommended. We bought a pack costing £5 of the baby dry size 3s. Well, what a disappointment they were! I found them to be too thin, and the tabs never seemed to stay stuck down - if he wriggled before I wrestled his vest onto him, invariably one side or both would have come loose. This meant that in order to keep it secure I had to pull it really tight around his little tummy and try to overlap the tabs. Needless to say I did not use many of them. My other disappointment was the price, as they were no cheaper than Tesco or Asda nappies (well they were actually more pricey), yet I had been led to believe they were a real gem of a bargain. Summary: Of all the own brand nappies, these came second last only to Boots newborn...which I really hated! |
