Advantages: great animals lovely plastic good bath time fun

Disadvantages: build up for soap scum inside

These were one of the first bath toys that we bought our son when he started to enjoy baths rather than them being just us holding him to get him clean.

Who are they for-

Amazon market these as "Suitable from ages 6 months+ to 99 years! " and I have to say I wondered who enjoyed them at the beginning more my son or my husband!

What are they-

The set contains 5 farm animal squirters including a sheep, a pig, a cow, a horse and a duck.

The squirters are made form soft plastic that is "Phthalate free " Now those chemists among you may Know what this is but for those of you less clued up and I included myself in that. A quick search of google and wikipedia this is what I found about Phathalte's "Phthalates are a group of chemicals primarily used in plastics to increase their flexibility. Their use is controversial because phthalates have caused hormonal activity in rodents when administered in high doses" So I guess Phathalte free is a good Idea given how much little ones seem to chew their toys and my son often has these in his mouth

A squirter for the uninitiated is a toy that takes on what and when press squirts that water out at someone or something

The squirters come in a handy see through carry case. I guess this is handy if you are taking the toys on holiday or to the swimming pool.

What my son and I think-

For a long time my son has enjoyed playing with these animals in the bath mainly chewing them and putting them into things or walking them down the side of the bath. he is now at 16 1/2 months only just getting the idea of using them as a squirter. he loves animals so these are brilliant for him as they have lovely friendly faces and the squirting all happens from the face.

I do like these as a bath toy but i have one big gripe. They seem to accumulates on the inside soap scum very easily and not matter how much I rinse them in clean water rather than the bubble bath my son has the soap scum always accumulates on the inside and you need to take water into the squirter shake it and then squirt the brown/ black built up soap scum out. Because of this it sometimes discolours the animal and for that reason We have thrown away the two of the animals. Now if anyone has some cleaning tips for these toys i would love to have them as my son loves these animals but I can see that gradually we will lose all of them due to this problem. It is because of this that i have down rated the toys from what would of been a 5 starts to 3 stars

Where from-

These are currently on sale on Amazon for £8.63 this says this is discounted from £20.68 which I have to say we paid £9 for ours off an Amazon Market place seller and I don't think they are worth or would be value for money if the cost was £20.68

Summary: a lovely bath toy shame they build up soap scum easily
