Advantages: My baby loves it, cheap price

Disadvantages: Needs to be hung up to dry

I bought this product with the hope of making bath time more enjoyable for my one month old baby. The product is very light weight and looks like a mat with an inbuilt pillow. You fill up the bath for your baby then submerge the Easy Bath in the water; it is very buoyant so it will float.

The next step is to gentle place the baby on the mat; it has a rim around it so baby lies in a little bit of water. My baby looks really comfortable on it and never gets stressed. In the baby bath, I push the product down at the feet end so more of her body can be covered by the water, yet her head doesn't go under. I do this for two reasons: my baby enjoys it and I don’t want her to be cold. As with any product of this type you still have to hold her but it is like having an extra pair of now slip hands. As a new first time mum it gives me confidence.

We use the product in both the baby bath and the family bath. I love using this product in the regular bath, we bath together and my baby loves it and feels really safe. Again I keep allowing extra water to wash over her to keep her warm. She lies back and relaxes so much that she reminds me of her dad on his lilo in Spain! It makes an enjoyable experience for both of us.

The product is easy to clean and needs to drip dry. It is very light so I have stuck a cheap plastic hook at the side of the bath to hang it up. We usually use it at night and it's dry by morning.
I love using this product and will be sad when she out grows it although the weight limit is 3 to 8 kg, so she has a while to go yet.

The cost varies between £12 to £20 and it’s available from most baby shops. For the price, I think its excellent value for money. I could have spent a lot more on fancy baby bathing aids and I don’t think they could relax my baby any more than this!

Summary: I consider this one of my best baby buys!

Very good review, informative, personal and up to the point.

To be honest I can't see any reason for such products at all - as far as I know most babies (certainly including mine) like baths anyway and start being stressed only when they are taken out. I always though these kinds of products played on insecuries of new mothers, but then your review made me realise that this one at least can be seen as a bathtime toy! Though I wouldn't pay £16 for a bath toy myself...

Sounds lovely - bathtimes can be a littel stressful, but this is something I think I would consider when I have my own wee ones. Your review covers everything, thank you! :o) Kate x
