Advantages: Looks nice
Disadvantages: Sits to high in the bath and got mouldy quickly
I spent alot of time looking around at different baby baths and bath seats before my daughter was born and ended up deciding on this one, one because it was a nice pink colour with pretty patterns and two because it was made of a netted material it looked like it would be more comfortable than a hard plastic one. it was priced at about £15 so not much more expensive than others on the market.
I decided on a seat as i was a bit nervous about holding her in the bath with one hand and washing her with another, so this was ideal and as it suckered to the bottom of the bath there was no chance of it going anywhere so really gave me peace of mind.
However when i started using it i noticed was that it sat quite high in the bath and my daughter was nowhere near the water, we ended up having to fill the bath to higher than i would have liked really to get her used to being in the water and to keep her from geting cold.
Also when trying to collapse it down again it was very stiff and differcult (i thought the plastic was going to snap and we would break it) so we ended up leaving it up all the time which was annoying as it ended up living in the bottom of the shower or bath as there was nowhere else in the bathroom for it and was constantly having to be moved when other people were washing. Also when we went away we either didn't take it either as it would take up alot of room in the car.
It is made of fabric which you cant take off and wash (at least i never figured out how) and even though it isn't suppose to ours got mouldy quite quickly (maybe after 3 or 4 months) so when my daughter had grown out of it (when she was able to sit by herself 7 months ish) we had to throw it away.
I am now i'm expecting number 2 and will have to get a new seat and neadless to say it wont be one of these. I have used one of the plain plastic ones when visiting friends and it doesn't look as nice but my daughter never complained and as there in for such a short time i think i will be getting one of these this time round.
Summary: Not the best baby bath seat out there
