Four little ducks went swimming one day, over the hills and far away!
I love to have ducks in my babies bath, I think they are cute and something quite fun to play with and so this little set from The Early Learning Centre is perfect. We have numerous bath toys in our bath but it is always the ducks that my little girl especially is attracted to. You can play lots of little games with ducks such as finding the mummy duck, a different duck we have in our bath that is a little bit bigger than these ducks, or making the ducks swim which is a great way to teach about swimming and floating and things like that. We let the ducks just float around in the water and see where they swim.
There are four ducks in this set. They are made of quite a light squishy plastic and they float on the water. The ducks are all different colours as well which I think is nice. There is a yellow duck with a blue beak, a green duck with an orange beak, an orange duck with a yellow beak and a blue duck with a green beak. They all have two eyes as well and a bit of contouring on their body to indicate that they have wings. There is also a little tail on the end of the ducks where a bit of its body comes up to a point to indicate a tail.
I like the fact that they are different colours as this makes it quite an easy way of teaching your little one colours as you can ask them to find the blue duck or the green duck etc, etc.
The ducks do not have a hole in their beak like some duck bath toys have. The hole generally means that these toys can collect water and then squirt it but I like the fact that they do not have a hole as I think this keeps them cleaner and does not allow mildew to get inside the ducks. If these ducks do get dirty the nice thing is that you can just rinse them under the bath tap and they are clean again.
The set of four ducks cots £6 from The Early Learning Centre and are a nice bath toy I recommend.
