Advantages: encourages reading and books from a young age

This is an excellent little book for the bath, at just £3.99 from the Early Learning Centre I think it is an absolute bargain. a waterproof book in the shape of a little duck, this floats upright in the bath. It is easy for little babies to grab hold of and opens up with a few pages inside with water related pictures.

My son is only a 6 months old so is a bit young for the words and pictures inside although I'm sure that when he gets a little older this will be a fantastic way to introduce him to basic words and the concept of reading as he adores splashing in the bath!

The duck stays closed by means of a plastic press stud which can be a little fiddly and i think small children might struggle with this. However, as far as I can see for now it will either be used as a book or as a floating duck and therefore won't need to be swapped between the two quickly.

A great little toy to encourage children to enjoy books.
