A good toy for what I paid

In an attempt to make bath time more enjoyable for my six month old daughter who still isn't a big fan of the bath, I have been on the look out for reasonably priced bath toys she can play with. On a recent trip to TK Maxx, I noticed in their clearance end they had a pack of these Fisher Price Bobbin Bath Buddies for a very reasonable £2, given that the RRP is £4.99. I wasn't sure whether they were gimmicky or not, but at £2 I thought I had nothing to lose. There are three parts to this product. Two animal shaped floaters and a ball. There is a purple coloured hippo shaped floater, which has a rounded tummy which the ball can be placed in. You can also use the hippo to scoop water. The other floater is a green turtle which has four holes in the bottom to let water flow through. The third part of the set is the ball, which can also be placed inside the turtle as well. This floating ball, has a yellow starfish inside, which can be spun for added amusement. When I first put these into the bath with my daughter, her eyes did immediately light up, and she reached for the purple hippo, bringing it straight to the mouth to chew on, which wasn't exactly what I had intended. However, despite my daughter still liking to chew on both of the floaters when in the bath, she has now started to enjoy the water coming through the turtle, and watch the hippo bobbing in the water. If I had a complaint to make, it would be that they don't really do a lot beside float, so I certainly wouldn't like to be spending a lot of money on this bath toy. At £2 however, I feel that this would an ideal amount and they do amuse my daughter somewhat in the bath, even if it is for her to chew on. It all helps to create a fun bathtime for her, which is what I want from a bath toy, and at this price, this is ideal.
