Advantages: Good value and smell really nice.

Disadvantages: Pack can be a little tricky to open.

We have two daughters - one is 3 and the other 1. Obviously the youngest is still in nappies but daughter no.1 is now well and truly potty trained - woohoo!! We're now at the stage where she uses the toilet (with a toddler seat) rather than the potty and she's VERY keen to do everything on her own. She runs in, shuts the door and wont let us in!! This is all good, independence and all that but she's not always so good at wiping after she's had a poo! We therefore thought some wipes might be worth a go and make life easier for her (and me!). Baby wipes were out of the question as she's a 'big girl' now and wouldn't dare to be classed as a baby now...hmmm....toddlers...

We're regular Asda shoppers so came accross the 'Great Stuff: Sunshine Fruits Toilet Training Wipes' on one of our regular shops. The packaging is very attractive - bright and cheery with a Hippo on the front and our daughter seemed quite excited about them! They also come in 'fragrance free' but we thought we'd go for the fruity ones as they seemed the most fun and encouraging for toddlers to use! When we got home our daughter was keen to try them out so we opened up the pack and had a look. The wipes do smell lovely and fruity - sort of pineapple smell and certainly exotic and reminiscent of 'sunshine'! The wipes aren't huge but they are good and moist and were certainly appealing to our daughter. The pack is a little tricky for small hands to open as it's a sticky label seal which can be a bit difficult to open and also tricky to remove a wipe from the packet without accidently pulling out 2 or 3. That said though, she has got the hang of it better now and if your child wasn't quite as intent on being totally independent when it comes to the loo then you would be there to help! The wipes are very good at wiping and best of all, they can go down the loo, unlike normal baby wipes. Although you should really only flush one at a time!

The pack costs 74p for 60 wipes which is pretty good value really considering these aren't baby wipes and wouldn't need to be used every time your little one goes to the loo so you wouldn't need a huge amount of them. They also seem to be on offer most of the time - 3 packs for £2 which makes them even better value! Especially considering branded wipes like 'Kandoo' seem to retail at around £2 per 55 wipe pack!!

Over all, we like these wipes. They've made toilet visits a bit easier for our eagerly independent daughter and we now also keep a pack in the car for sticky hands/face/etc!

Summary: Very good value toddler wipes - versatile and appealing.

Ooh I never knew they were that cheap, I am always reluctant to buy the Kandoo ones although the box is handy to recycle and then buy cheaper wipes to fill it with x
