Advantages: Smells delish; Cleans my hair good; All natural ingredients

Disadvantages: Doesn't lather up much

My mum always buys Halos And Horns for my little sister and when I got a madly itchy scalp last week I decided to use the shampoo because this range is made from natural ingredients and I thought it would be kinder to my skin than the perfumed shampoo I usually use.

This one is called Mango And Melon Mayhem but the shampoos are available in other smells as well, Halos And Horns also make bubble baths and body washes as well as other items. They're not an expensive brand and that surprised me because they have the feel of a product that cost loads more than the £1.79 my mum paid for this shampoo and conditioner.

The smell is gorgeous, it's a mix of mango and melon as you would expect from the name of it but it's also got a lovely citrus smell that's a bit like a combination of limes and sharp oranges. The melon is the strongest smell and it's lovely and sweet, the mango smell comes through stronger when your actually washing your hair and over all it's just a nice fruity smell that lasts for ages on my hair and doesn't smell too kiddified like a lot of kids shampoos do.

You don't get much of a lather with this shampoo and I thought it was quite hard to rub into my hair because it's got a proper thick and sticky texture but even though I wasn't sure I'd rubbed shampoo into all my hair afterwards my hair felt and looked very clean. I've worked out that the best way to use the shampoo is to rub it is as you would any other shampoo but don't worry if you feel like you've missed a bit because you probably haven't! I can't be no more scientific than that, sorry!

Even though it's so gloopy I still think it's dead easy to rinse out and it doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky like I was worried about. The conditioner works well as well and I didn't have to use a seperate one, it doesn't get rid of all the tangles in my hair but being as it's a kids product I didn't expect it to. My hair felt nice and soft afterwards though and it was easy to style.

All the Halos And Horns shampoos are designed to be kind to kids eyes and I know that's true because I'm always getting shampoo in my eyes and it doesn't hurt when it happens with this one!
