Makka Pakka (from In The Night Garden) Bath Toy.....

This was a birthday present for Jack from one of his uncles and at the time I thought it pretty rubbish but now it is an essential bath time toy. The Makka Pakka bath toy is basically a hollow Makka Pakka around 15 inches tall with holes in the top of his head, ears and the soles of his feet. Along with the Makka Pakka figure you also get Makka Pakka's Uff Puff and his trumpet.

For those who do not know Makka Pakka is a character from the popular children television show In The Night Garden. Makka Pakka loves to wash faces so really he is the perfect character to make into a bath toy.

I have seen this after Jack received it for his birthday and it retails for about £10 a price that it think quite reasonable. Compared to most of the bath toys that we have (a lot) this one is probably the one that gets the most use and for that price I would say it has been well worth the money paid for it.

The Uff Puff is a separate part of this toy and can be used as a water squirter. It take a small amount of water in and shoots it out at an alarming rate but his really does make Jack giggle when I squirt him. The trumpet is just a trumpet shaped bit of plastic but it acts like quite a good water funnel so when you fill it up the water will slowly drain out of the small holed end. It doesn't make any noises like a trumpet but as an accessory I think it is quite good. Both the Makka Pakka figure itself and the two accessories look just as they do in the children programme and are easily recognisable.

Makka Pakka can easily be filled up with water through the bottom of his feet and the water slowly spills out in three different directions from both his ears and the top of his head. This is good fun and Jack loves to drain the water through repeatedly. Also when the Makka Pakka figure is empty blowing into the small holes in the ears or top of the head makes some great echo type noises. Jack loves to do this too.

All in all considering at first Jack wasn't really interested in the toy he has taken quite a shin to it and uses it is a lot of different ways. It may just seem like a cheap plastic hollow toy but really a lot of fun can be had when playing with it. I think a four star rating and a RECOMMENDATION is fitting for this product. I would think if a child is really fond of In the Night Garden then it would make it a really great purchase but even if they are not hooked on the show it can still be a lot of fun.

I hope this has been of some help. Thanks for taking the time to read.

Summary: a good fun toy in the bath
