      Not good enough

This is a review of the Hello Kitty Igloo Tub Time we bought our daughter for her second birthday. She needs lots of bath toys to keep her in the bath and I had to throw a load away due to water mould so thought this looked like a fun distraction for bath time.

      What is it?
The igloo sticks to the wall of the bath (or tiles) with two sucker pads and you have a few parts to assemble to get the toy working. There is an igloo on the top that you push in and three shaped slides. Finally there are three floating bath toys that go down the slides when you push in the igloo.

      In use
I think this toy is a bit rubbish really. The igloo falls off all the time and doesn't stay in place, and the slides are really awkward to fix in and you have to push them at an awkward angle. When you do get the igloo and slides working, the three floating toys (which sit on different shapes so each has its own personal slide) sometimes jam in the release hole which is activated by the igloo on top and you have to poke them through with your fingers.

      My thoughts
I think I gave away my thoughts in the above paragraph, but to add a positive, it is nice and bright colours and the hello kitty toys are cute and fun as bath floaties. There are no obvious areas that will retain water so it should remain mould free as well. Before we used it, I loved it being a big HK fan but now every time my daughter drags it out of the bath toy tin I have to supress a moan as I know it's a pain in the bum to put together and it is a bit rubbish in action too!

      Price and availability
I paid the princely sum of £5 for this from TK Maxx, from their reduced section although all the parts were present. I think I paid too much for it when I have witnessed it set up. You can also buy it from Amazon for a whacking £18.99.

      Final word
Whilst my daughter likes to play with this, I am not a big fan of the set. There are too many parts, which don't fit together too well and the picture on the box looks far more fun than the reality of this bath toy (I am sure the same can be said for many childrens' toys!). I can't recommend this bath toy and will be getting rid of ours as soon as possible.
