Many changing bags now come with a fold up travel changing mat but they are often quite bulky, these packs of mats are brilliant to pop one in the changing bag and don't take up very much space which, if you are anything like me, makes a huge difference. These mats come in a pack of eight and are available in most supermarkets. I got my last pack for £2.59 which works out to less than 35 pence each.

The mats are soft on one side with pictures of Winnie the Pooh on them, they are blue with the pictures printed in a darker blue, and on the other side the mats have a water proof backing to protect the surface that baby is on. Although the mats are disposable, I will keep the same one for a few changes as long as it doesn't get wet or dirty. They are easy enough to fold back up and pop back in the changing bag and when unfolded they have a very large surface. My son is 58 centimetres and I can change him on the mat even if it is still folded in half.

I would recommend these for those impromptu changes where you can't find a changing room to do it on a table.
