Perfect for those water babies (Huggies Little Swimmers)

My husband and I had been dying to take our son swimming since he was born, once he had had his first lot of injections we decided that was the time. In preparation I bought Huggies little swimmer nappies and a pair of trunks with a built in swim nappy. I was extremely worried about accidents as my son was breast fed and as some of you may know, breast fed babies tend to have runnier poos than bottle fed babies.


I was a bit apprehensive the first time we took him, worried that neither nappy would work and it would all end in a horrible mess. Luckily it didn't and he hadn't done anything. We took the trunks off and then came to the Huggies nappy, it was quite wet so had obviously taken in more than just urine so I was even more apprehensive that it would work had he actually done anything.


We carried on taking him for a few weeks until the day arrived where he did actually do a poo. You can always tell when my son is going so we quickly got out of the pool, scared and hoping that it had all stayed in. We got into the changing room and took off the trunks to find nothing, this was a huge relief. It proved the Huggies swim nappy had done the job all by itself. I think I've gone into enough detail so I won't explain what was found next.


I bought the little swimmers from Asda for £4 for the smallest size, there is 12 in the pack and have various pictures on the including Finding Nemo. At the age my son was this didn't make a difference, but to an older baby they would probably enjoy the colourful pictures.


Overall, I was very impressed with the swim nappy, considering we had tried normal Huggies nappies and they had leaked. I have continued to use them and will do until my son is continent.
